Installation Tips
Gas pressure springs and dampers should preferably be installed with the piston rod facing downward, while tension springs should be installed with the piston rod facing upward. The standard operating range of our gas springs and dampers is -20°C to +80°C.To avoid impairing the service life, gas springs must not experience tilting, bending, or lateral forces; only axial loads are permissible. Depending on the force, stroke, series, and overall length of the products, there may be a risk of buckling. The piston rod must be protected from impacts, scratches, contamination, and paint application. Depending on various factors such as installation/application, the series, the stroke used, and environmental influences, a service life of over 50,000 cycles is possible.A gas spring undergoes a technically induced loss of force over time and operation.
